Structure 04

"Structure 04" explores repetition as a form of directing attention from the outside inward. Countless lines, strung together and laid side by side, form a closed, organic shape that is comprehensible to the viewer at its endpoints. However, inwardly, this structured sequence breaks apart, dissolving into chaos and only focusing in certain areas. Lines intersect and lose themselves in the surface. They seem to be carefully placed on paper or opaque glass, reflecting the fragility of these structures. The resulting shapes appear calm and harmonious outwardly, but are chaotic and instable within.
